Umpiring Beyond the BaseS

Our Mission

Our mission is to assist the umpires ability to understand and recognize "Small Things Matter" during a baseball game and suggests techniques to address them; and to offer on-field competitions involving umpire skills, positioning, mechanics and communications.

Small Things Matter

This coach took offense that I didn't allow playing catch with a football on the baseball field between innings; nor let his CF loudly voice his opinion on balls and strikes. After our brief discussion the game continued without further interruptions. Small Things Matter. Handle them early.
